Xbox subscribers are in for a treat as Microsoft rolls out a substantial wave of new titles hitting Game Pass through the end of April and into early May 2026. The second half of the month brings multiple day-one launches spanning several genres, from cozy RPGs to intense shooters, ensuring there’s something for nearly every type of player on the platform.
Among the highlights is Double Fine’s Kiln, arriving April 23 as a day-one Game Pass release. The studio known for Psychonauts has crafted a wildly inventive party brawler where players sculpt pottery that transforms into battle-ready combatants in online arenas. Also launching on day one is Aphelion on April 28, a cinematic third-person sci-fi adventure from Don’t Nod — the developers behind Jusant — created in collaboration with the European Space Agency and grounded in real-world science.
The lineup kicks off on April 21 with Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard, a deck-building spin-off of the hit Vampire Survivors franchise, alongside cozy titles Little Rocket Lab and Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato joining Game Pass Premium. Later in the month, the brutal FPS Trepang2 arrives on April 29, followed by Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era and Sledding Game in Game Preview on April 30. Rounding things out, the classic Final Fantasy V lands on May 5, as reported by IGN and Eurogamer.
Complementing the Game Pass announcements, a new ID@Xbox showcase is scheduled for April 23 at 10am PT, produced in partnership with IGN. The event promises exclusive trailers, gameplay reveals, and fresh looks at upcoming indie and mid-sized titles headed to Xbox and PC. Confirmed appearances include Mistfall Hunter, a PvPvE extraction RPG; There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, a hotel restoration and ghost-hunting game; Solo Leveling Arise Overdrive; and Aphelion, which will presumably get an extended spotlight ahead of its Game Pass debut days later.
The showcase will be livestreamed across multiple platforms including IGN’s YouTube channel, Twitch, Facebook, and partner sites like Eurogamer. Previous ID@Xbox events have served as launchpads for breakout indie hits, and the organizers promise additional surprise announcements beyond the confirmed lineup, according to IGN’s announcement.
Taken together, the Game Pass wave and the indie showcase underscore Microsoft’s continued strategy of pairing first-party and third-party day-one releases with high-visibility events to keep subscribers engaged. With a mix of creative indie experiments, beloved franchise spin-offs, and classic RPG rereleases, late April 2026 shapes up as one of the more diverse periods for the service in recent memory.
