Microsoft has unveiled the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for May 2026, delivering a diverse roster of titles that includes several day-one launches alongside beloved catalog additions. While the first half of the month was dominated by the blockbuster arrival of Forza Horizon 6 — a stunning open-world racer set across Japan — the back half keeps the momentum going with over a dozen games arriving between now and early June, as detailed in announcements from IGN and GameSpot.
Two marquee additions headline the wave. Frontier Developments’ Jurassic World Evolution 3, which originally launched in October 2025, joins the service on June 2, giving subscribers the chance to build and manage their own dinosaur theme parks. Alongside it, Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition lands on May 27, bringing the definitive version of the studio’s darkly humorous sci-fi RPG to Game Pass for the first time.
Day-one releases are a particular highlight this cycle. Luna Abyss, a bullet-hell first-person adventure from Kwalee Labs, arrives May 21 and casts players as a prisoner navigating a lunar megastructure filled with alien technology and cosmic dread. Echo Generation 2, a sci-fi deckbuilding RPG sequel from Cococucumber, drops on May 27, while the physics-driven co-op party game Crashout Crew and the charming bug-collecting title Kabuto Park both debut on May 28.
The lineup also features a healthy mix of genres for more casual or eclectic tastes. Pigeon Simulator lets players wreak havoc across New Squawk City as part of a paranormal investigation unit, while My Friend Peppa Pig offers a family-friendly adventure alongside the famous cartoon character. Remnant 2 brings its punishing cooperative shooter action to the service, Escape Simulator delivers interactive puzzle rooms, and Winter Burrow provides a cozy survival experience centered on helping a woodland mouse weather a harsh season. Dead Static Drive rounds things out with a Lovecraftian twist on the open-world driving genre.
Classic RPG fans have something to look forward to as well, with Final Fantasy VI joining the catalog on June 2. The legendary Super Nintendo-era title remains one of the most acclaimed entries in the long-running franchise and should be a welcome addition for subscribers who haven’t yet experienced its story. Microsoft is also expected to make significant Game Pass announcements at its Xbox showcase event scheduled for June 7.
As is customary, several titles will depart the service at the end of the month. Games leaving on May 31 include Metaphor: ReFantazio, Persona 4 Golden, Against the Storm, Crypt Custodian, and Spray Paint Simulator. Subscribers interested in keeping any of these can purchase them at a discount before they rotate out of the library.
